Toshiba Vantage Atlas MRI Machine
The
Toshiba Vantage Atlas MRI machine is the world’s first 128-element,
RF-integrated coil MRI system. With features an ultra short and ultra wide
bore that provides comfortable ventilation and lighting for patients. latest MRI
technologies that provide you with fast, quiet and accurate imaging. very compact MRI
machine. 90
percent reduction in acoustic noise with the Pianissimo gradient enclosure, and
Toshiba's latest workflow-optimizing Atlas coil technology. boasts
exceptional patient comfort, excellent high resolution imaging acquisition and
processing, and the new Atlas coil technology built for efficiency and speed,
optimizing workflow and patient throughput.
The system is capable of performing coronary MR angiography procedures to
detect, diagnose and aid the treatment of heart disorders and blood vessel
diseases. With a large clinical field of view (FOV) of 55 x 55 x 50cm, the
Atlas meets clinical demands for an MRI system and delivers high-resolution
images across the entire body – particularly images crucial for detecting
coronary artery disease: veins in the leg, renal arteries and pulmonary
circulation. consist of multi-sized elements designed to capture discreet MR
signals from cardiac anatomy.
The Atlas’ advantage is its ability
to perform coronary studies via MR with single breath hold and non-contrast
imaging techniques, which can also be utilized to image the peripheral and
renal vessels, including arterial and venous circulations.
Vantage MRI: Unmatched Clinical
Performance
Featuring some of the most advanced MRI applications available in the industry, the Vantage offers a wide range of optional packages, including advanced Echo Planar Imaging, Diffusion and Perfusion Imaging, Peripheral Angiography utilizing Fresh Blood Imaging (FBI), SuperFASE (Fast Advanced Spin Echo) Imaging and Body Vision, diffusion-weighted imaging optimized for the trunk and torso.
In addition, Toshiba’s SPEEDER parallel imaging allows for increased
acquisition speed and reduced examination times. It is also able to determine
the hemodynamics – without the use of contrast media — of selective vessels
with high image quality using Time-SLIP (Spatial Labeling Inversion Pulse)
technology, and offers better separation of arterial and venous blood flows
with Contrast-free Improved Angiography (CIA).

Compact Design/ Wide FOV
The Toshiba Vantage Atlas 1.5T MRI features an ultra compact 1.5 Tesla system as well as a short bore, only 149 cm, and a very spacious bore aperture of 65.5 cm. The Vantage Atlas' 1.5T magnet
comprises multi-windings providing a very wide scan field - 55cm x 55cm x 50cm - with exceptional homogeneity.
Noise Reduction = Enhanced Patient Comfort
Toshiba gifted the Vantage 1.5T MRI system with their new Pianissimo gradient enclosure. The Pianissimo gradient enclose has the gradient coils mounted in a vacuum chamber, thus reducing
acoustic noise by over 90% compared with the then conventional techniques. The noise reduction has proven to significantly increase patient comfort, improving clinical performance for high
resolution/ high signal-to-noise-ratio whole-body applications.
Optimized Workflow with Atlas Coil Technology
Toshiba recognized and responded to the need of a more efficient, optimized clinical workflow. Toshiba decided to reduce disturbances in clinical workflow caused by the frequent coil exchange.
The result was the development of the Atlas coils. Toshiba scrutinized the details of the individual coils and decided to separate the anterior from the posterior section of each coil. The end product was the Atlas coil concept, comprising of a Body coil, Spine coil, and a split able Head coil. The coil segments were built to collect seamless data from the scanned object located at the border of each coil segment. Atlas coils can be connected simultaneously using coil connectors located on the couch top, thus allowing the connection of up to 128 elements simultaneously. Only the elements in scan FOV will be read out by the system. This design concept allows the Atlas coils to remain on the couch during most clinical applications, thus optimizing efficiency and consequently workflow.

Due to it’s larger width, the interior room is much more spacious
than a standard mobile trailer. This allows for more patient
access, whether ambulatory or gurney.
The Control Area includes a large 4’ door and a large viewing window.
Next to the Control Area is the adjacent Work Area featuring the
Stereo system, Virtual Explorer workstation, large counter work
Area, lockable storage cabinets and a window.
Behind the patient access area are two dressing rooms with lockable cabinets in each.
There is an ancillary equipment room which is located in the front of the van.
The large, well-lit and air cooled ancillary equipment
room makes serviceability easy.
There is a separate entrance from the exterior of the trailer.
Since the ancillary equipment room is located at the front of the trailer, access is available without interrupting exam procedures.
The system has been serviced by Toshiba service engineers since day one.
The 3-axle trailer design allows for smooth transportability to
it’s next clinical service location.
